It’s been said, “We need four hugs a day for survival, 8 hugs a day for maintenance, and 12 hugs a day for growth.” As I was researching the value of an embrace, I found that there are other blogs discussing the virtues of hugging. I figured it was worth writing about again for you Lemon-Aid followers that might not be aware that hugs are just what the Lemonaider ordered.
Scientific studies have found that hugging can lower blood pressure and reduce stress which improves heart health. Maybe because we’ve heard so many stories about inappropriate touching we’ve now become a touch hesitant society, and therefore, touch deprived. I would like to encourage you to more freely give loving, sincere, and caring hugs to your family, friends, and those who you think could use one.
Spread the health through hugs my friends, The Lemonaider
